What do you really want your life to feel like?

It’s dangerously easy to go through our life out of touch with what we authentically want—especially if we're unconsciously seeking acceptance from others or wholeness through accomplishment.

We receive countless messages every day telling us what we should want, or what we “need” in order to be (considered) successful. And if we’re not careful, we hop on the hamster wheel and run our little hearts out chasing something we might not actually care about.

Which is why it’s so important to get clear on what you authentically desire & whether or not your goals will actually give you that.

In order to do that, we have to get to know who we are on a deeper level.
We have to ask ourselves hard questions. And in some cases, we may even need to strip our current life down to the studs so we can rebuild it to better reflect our intrinsic desires and values.
But these practices can be difficult to navigate yourself, especially if you’re lacking the mindset to get out of your own way—or, even worse, don’t fully believe it’s possible for you to show up fully and live your dream life.

You’re not alone in these thoughts. I was there once, too.

I’ve always felt like I was meant for something. Like I had this potential, and if I could just get out of my own way, I’d be able to create the life I was dreaming about. I have such a hunger for life and experiencing it in a way that is fun and fulfilling for me.

For years, I played small. I’d self-sabotage. My self-talk was horrific. I thought that being hard (more like mean) on myself was the only way I’d grow.

Even though I was raised by supportive parents who encouraged me to find something I was passionate about and pursue it wholeheartedly (and who believed in me every step of the way), I couldn’t seem to break away from the comparison game, and I rarely—if ever—felt like I was enough.

On the outside, I was successful. But on the inside, I felt stagnant & like something was missing.

It wasn’t until I committed to leaning into the inner work: seeking therapy, diving into inner child work, understanding my shadows, and reprogramming myself from the inside out. I was stuck and frustrated, and really not sure how to move past it.

It took years of growth and consistency, but oh my gosh the freedom and difference this has made in my life has been invaluable.

Now, when faced with the question “What do you want with your life?”, my answer reflects my authentic desires, rather than who I think I should be.

And the same can be true for you, too.
